JUST THINKIN' . . . a devotional by Jim Green

SCRIPTURE:  “But the Lord said to him, ‘Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.’” Ac 9:15

SEE IT:  Mission Heavy

JIMISM:  6377. Nothing I do for good can equal what was done for me by someone else. JG

LIVE IT:  Who knows how many people have come to know the Lord via a Billy Graham crusade.  I never met Billy, but did know Herb Hodges, a simple man who deemed himself a disciple-maker. Billy worked on the principle of addition but Herb on multiplication.

Both Billy and Herb are gone, as are their evangelistic crusades and table-top sessons. But people are still preaching the gospel via disciple-makers. All the production, however, is trumped by one man, the Apostle Paul whose special calling set it all in motion.

PRAY IT: Thank You, Jesus, that your Name goes before me, surrounds me and upholds me.

FIND IT:  Calling; Special; Disciples

APPLY IT:  Focus everything I do on Jesus’ name.

Videotional (above) is the term Jim Green has given his short video clips that relate Scripture in a non-traditional manner.  These are posted on devotional pages and social media.

Jimisms (above) are observations that might not be immediately obvious in Scripture. These brief and incisive comments are designed as a social media pins and posted here as well.
